How many sets of plans will I need?

Because everyone working on your home will need a set of blueprints for bidding and construction, we recommend that you purchase at least 8 sets of blueprints or a reproducible master. Below is a list of the possible people who will need a copy of your plans. The largest plan package we offer includes 8 sets, but additional sets may be purchased in groups of 5 for up to 30 days after the original sale.

Ask your builder how many sets he anticipates needing. He’ll need to give one to each of the tradesmen, such as the carpenter, the plumber, the electrician, etc.

Can I make changes to a plan?

When you purchase a set of construction drawings, you also receive what is called a construction license. This license gives you legal permission to modify a plan as you wish. Either Lifestyle Home Collection or another designer/architect/engineer of your choice can make these changes for you. Please contact our customer service department at customerservice@lifestylehomecollection.com to request changes to your plan. It is against copyright law to use or make changes to any plans on this website without first purchasing those plans and construction licenses from Lifestyle Home Collection. Are there restrictions on where I can build my home?

Our stock plans have been designed specifically to meet building codes and regulations in the Cincinnati Tri-State area at the time of their origin. Each local, county, and state government has its own set of guidelines to follow when building a home. For this reason, the location where your plans are authored is a primary concern. It is your responsibility to submit the stock plan to your local, county, and state building departments to be sure that the aesthetic, safety, and structural design meets all expectations and codes. If changes to the plan are required, Lifestyle Home Collection accepts no responsibility or liability for the revised plan.

What size prints will I receive with my purchase?"

All of our prints, including reproducibles and study sets, are 24" x 36", standard size for the industry.
